Ta-Da

Not the best of photos but I was too tired and too wet from the rain. I apologize it's been so long since any kind of an update. Still messy inside the bus but it's finally starting take shape. I sure was sick of working on the framing and insulation...it's nice to see some finishing work.
The photos above shows the ceiling going up...I've decided to keep the original lights with the Bluebird logo covers.
The photo above was taken looking in the front door...it shows the linoleum laid in the drivers area. I chose that for easy clean up when it's muddy and wet outside...like today.

And in the photo below is the center console. More photos coming...thanks for waiting :o)

2012

2012...looks so futuristic. I remember back in the 60's I used to add 30, 40, 50, etc. years onto my age to see how old I will be in "what" year ....and worry if it might be possible for me to still be alive in the 2000's. All that worry for nothing.

Happy New Year...may it be full of good things, wonderful blessings and much happiness!

Frozen In Time

I wrote on here about an hour ago....low and behold between then and now I seem to have fixed my blog that has been broken since last spring! It seems Microsoft had an update that changed settings on my Internet Explorer to not allow Third Party Cookies. This prevented me from being able to sign into Blogger all the way (sometimes I could write a post but not edit it or add photos. Most of the time it would not let me leave comments on other blogs). Anyway...it's fixed. I think. Yippee! I think. If this is too good to be true then I'll be reposting the new blog address again after the New Year.

Summer's End

I hope everyone has had a great summer? It seems to have come and gone much too quickly. Between the extreme heat and humidity...getting things done was slow going for me. I'm 3/4 way done putting in the pine siding and will finish that tomorrow and maybe even get the windows trimmed out. Then I'll start the ceiling on Monday and hopefully be finished with it by Tuesday. After the ceiling I'll be putting in the carpeting. I really wanted to install wood flooring but since I already bought the carpet a year ago and have not been able to sell it on craigslist I've decided to go ahead and just use it for now. It will save the me the expense of storing it over winter plus the expense of buying the materials for a wood floor (for now anyway).

Here's a photo of when I was installing the pine siding....Last week I installed new brake lines. No....I do not know anything about repairing brakes, but I watched a video on youtube.com and gave it a whirl. And guess what??? I did it! I still need to bleed the brakes and will probably do that tomorrow. I'll do a post with some photos this week. Anyway, just after I started working on the brake lines, I turned around and bent down to pick up one of the new brake lines and when I turned back around to my tools laying on the big front tire...there was this clover sitting between the tools! I thought this was pretty cool since I call my land "Lucky Acres" (because it's 7.77 acres). It's not a four leaf clover but I still think it's pretty lucky to have it fall there like that right between my tools while I worked on something I really had no clue what I was doing. Everything went fine...I wonder how much money I saved by doing this myself?Yesterday the Amish neighbors bull got loose. They weren't home all day so it just kinda wondered up and down the gravel road snacking on the tall growth in the ditches. I stopped the car to take a photo and that's about all he had the patience for because right after I snapped it he dropped his head and started pawing the ground so I went on my way. Last year somebody's bull got loose near town and took over the baseball diamond. Nobody could go near the baseball diamond for a few days until somebody finally came and claimed the bull.Well, I guess that's enough bull for now...lol...more soon :o)
